Really active around here this year. The sheriffs horse that was killed is about 20-30 miles from here but there have been several reports of packs with over a dozen members crossing fields around here. Most I have seen together was two. I have a pretty firm rule that any wild animal that let's me near it in broad daylight is potentially dangerous, carnivore or not. Take it down. There are plenty left with more sense...and fear of humans. Those are the only ones acceptable. My next door neighbor dumps 50# bags of dog food in the fence row behind her house a couple times a week all winter. Can't stop her. Coyotes yipping all night, the dogs going wild but I don't dare leave them loose. Last month one of the cats disappeared. All I can do is shoot the darn things and hang them up where she can see them. I am within my rights too.
