Then there was the one that got into my garden a couple of years ago. Went to each tomato plant, stood up on its hind legs, and took a bite out of each ripe tomato. By the time it was done, that critter ruined my entire tomato crop for that year. I went down to the local Army-Navy store and bought a .22 rifle with scope, a couple of boxes of ammo, and went and sighted it in. I suppose that ground hog knew better than to come back. After that, I surrounded my garden with an electric fence. So far, no more trouble with the critters.
