I didn't watch the game or the commercials. That said, I just read an article that said the majority of the commercials this year went out of their way to be "serious" and had a "message" rather than funny like they've been in the past.
I wonder how this is going to work out for all those companies. I mean remember "Where's the beef", the "Bud--Wise---Err" frogs, and others? Yep, as bad as we hate to admit it funny typically goes over far better, and is more memorable, than serious, every day of the week.
