This is a newspaper article from 1947. This was my dad's brother. My dad was 18 at the time and his brother was 23 and a twin.
They speak of the sisters and brothers in this article but they are referring to Grange members.
My dad had only 3 brothers and 1 sister.
This has haunted my dad's family all their lives. That and they never knew their sister. She was the oldest and died when she was only 3 years old. Three days before she died she told her mom (my Granny) "Mom don't you see the pretty flowers"?
Take time during harvest to be careful. You don't have to be on a tractor to get hurt. I included a picture of my dad's family. That's my dad in the back on the left then next to him is his parents. His oldest brother is in the front on the left and the twins in the front middle and right. I just wanted to share this with all of you! I hope you can read the article. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
