Hi Thats an interesting article, It's probably going on up here in Canada to with silent business partners in farming enterprises, when the government hand out money once in a while.
I Can fix the who does and doesn't qualify debate for them. Make the system 720 hours minimum actually working on the farm per year and I think 75% income has to be your farm produce related.
This is the requirement here to keep my farm licence plate on my truck in Manitoba. It's done so a guy that farms in a smaller way,with say animals or grain, for Market and has a second job, can still qualify for the plate. My hog system here is 2 hours every day minimum plus baling/ hauling and barn cleaning/ maintenance, so i'm way over 720 hrs and have a more part time second business. Regards Robert
