There are quite a few of them in the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club, but most are safely tucked away and are not often seen on the street. Many have had 308 Hornet engines installed for a little more oomph. Only real weak point is front seat room and cramped entry and exit- they are based on the 4 door sedan, and would have been much nicer if they had been based on the coupe, with its longer front door. In '40 and '41, I think, they even had a "Big Boy" version, with an 8 foot bed. That one is a '46 or '47. No more pickups after the advent of the "stepdown" styling in '48.
Modifications, within reason, are better tolerated by the Hudson crowd than many other makes. That one is stock, except for the tail lights. Wouldn't be surprised to find a 308 under the hood, which would actually add to the value.
