Hey guys, I am having problems with the 4x4 on my 99 (new body style) truck. It suffered a LF impact to the LF wheel which damaged the fender. Upon pulling it into the shop I noticed that the 4x4 lights (push button 4 buttons orange shift indicator lights) were funny and it didn't want to shift into either 4 high or low. I replaced the front fender as that was all that was damaged. Now there are no lights (orange shift position indicator on the 4x4switch) illuminated and pressing any button doesn't do anything.
I replaced the switch with a known good one and that changed nothing. I also checked and cleaned up the ground wires that attach under the drivers door to the frame.
Oddly enough, after I removed the old fender I hooked the battery back up and the 4x4 seemed to work, but after the new fender was installed the following night it didn't work. An hasn't since. The fuse in the dash fuse panel is also good.

You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
