It's very poor business practice to let your money sit on the lot instead of getting some or most of your cost back and putting it in to something that will make some money. I was this when we were in the antiques biz, some dealers carried the same tired stock around to shows. Most if it is now worth less on a retail basis than they paid for it back in the day. You have to keep you eye on the market, not only values but demand for certain items. When your stock is falling out of favor, get rid of it.
