Boy does that bring back memories. We had one in the mid 60's. In February of 1967 we had a barn fire. Dad was at work, I was 11 at the time. We had a John Deere 50 backed up to the barn that winter. The neighbors came down to help, and asked if I could drive the Scout. I had always had trouble shifting the two stick 4 wheel drive. That time it slipped right into low range and 4 wheel drive. Backed the Scout up toward the JD, as the neighbor was sorta tossing the chain slip hook into the frame of the tractor because of the heat. Finally it hooked and he hollered to take off. Scout was on ice, and just spun. Backed up and hit it hard and pulled the tractor away from the barn. I still remember seeing the upper part of the barn end burning above the tractor in the rear view mirror. Rear tires were smoking on the tractor, but there wasn't really any damage. Sorry this was so long, but that Scout in the picture sure brought back the memories. I too would sure like to have it.
