I took it in for a brake job and when they opened it up, both rear planetaries were shot.
Only indication I had was that the thing kept repeatedly plugging the hydraulic filters and it got worse as the season went on last year.
IH mechanic said that he has never seen one do this, but suspected since it is an early model, that the gears were "green" OR that they weren't assembled right.
Dunno, just that it's gonna curl the edges of my checkbook. :>(
