Thru his adoptive parents, he was my 2nd cousin once removed. He grew up in my hometown, graduated from Corydon High School in Corydon, Indiana in 1944, and served on a B-17 during the latter part of WWII. I knew his mom as "Aunt Essa," and she would call my grandmother whenever "her Jimmie" was going to be on TV...and we all made sure to watch him. Lots of westerns, some dramas...
