YOU KNOW WHAT that's pretty much correct. To settle an estate any creditors or person who have claims, such as one paid the taxes even though property is NOT all his, have an opportunity to submit and file claims and they are all paid the then the net estate is distributed.
I have settled many estates and that's when family fights start grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I try to get out of as much work as I can and am satisfied with less money earned yet still a fair wage as Im mostly retired. I try to explain to people if they want to fight it out in court THE LAWYERS COULD GET MOST OF THE MONEY (subject to estates value and how bad the fight lol) so why not let just one attorney settle it non supervised and not contested BUT THAT DOESNT ALWAYS WORK OUT GRRRRRRRRRRR
Anymore I ONLY take cases that aren't contested and can be administrated UNSUPERVISED, less money but far less headaches.
