All the water in your well at 54 +/- degrees F is your cooling system for your submersible. I would not worry about the pump, but you mentioned that you were drawing from a "Camp" well. Just for safeties sake I would keep an eye on the capasitor box and pressure switch in the camp, if they are not regulary used.
