I really don't have a dog in this fight, so to speak, but I'm going to step in here and say, "Lay off the kid". What your talking about him doing isn't anything any of us adults haven't done a million times in our lives also. In his case, yes, he's young, but I guarantee you he knows more about farm tractors, and farming than many adults, me included. I know on the construction equipment side of things I get a laugh out of the folks that call every machine a "bull dozer" when it's obviously an excavator, scraper, or whatever. If there is someone else in the room that I know is "in the know too" I have no problem cracking on the offender. In this case "the room" is just this forum......
Beyond that, yes, it "could be" some old guys widow looking to sell it, but that's beside the point. Regardless of who it is, if your planning to sell something like a tractor, and have enough sense to get online and post it on CL, you should also have enough sense to research what it is, and know your not getting cheated when you sell it. I know not everyone is going to do that, but personally, I think it's sort of funny that someone would post something as easily researched as a tractor, and not have a clue what they had for sale, or anything else....unless it was some ultra rare something or other....
