I have been in that situation as well, One of the older men I worked with told me when you get flash burn to take and slice up russet potatoes and with eyes open lay the slices on your eyeballs, do that as long as you can stand it and before you know it the pain is gone. On another note I never could find whoever or whatever it was that kept pouring the sand in my eyes at night after a flash burn that day, but for whatever reason the potatoes thing really does work.
