I care take on a property in CA. The area I must mow includes ditches, berms, under low trees, along roadsides and fences and up and down hills.
The mower I was using was a JD 265 that finally gave up. This tractor/mower was inadequate for the task frequently getting stuck and the mower deck eventually failing. It had a 48" deck
I have also used my Ford 2110 with a cheapy Gearmore 3 pt. This does not give a very good cut and the Ford is a little large keeping from mowing nearly half of what needs to be mowed.
I am not familiar with compact tractors, so I ask for your help. It seems something along the line of a Kubota 1750 might work. The owners are being a little cheap. they say they will go as high as $8k for new, but I don't think there is anything suitable in that range. They may go $5k on used. I think a 4'-6' deck would suffice.
I appreciate any thoughts, advice, or recommendations.
