What I remember most is all the greenie-weenies spoutin' off about how it was gonna be a hunnert years or more before the area recovered and how the wildlife might never recover, and then the American Hunter Mag posting pics 7 years later and the side of the mountain is covered with lush green growth and deer, bear, elk and small game in abundance taking advantage of the new growth forest.
