Cv shafts, and wheel bearings. If the steering box needs replaced figure on disassembling the entire front of the truck so you can disassemble the front of the motor to get the power steering pump off to replace it, too. They tend to run hot prior to 08. Doesn't take much of a slope with a load on to get it dinging at you. Getting the rpm up doesn't cool it down like with a bigger engine either.
If you could stick a 5.9 common rail Cummins and the Allison in a Frod you'd have something.
