Been there several times. Each time is as somber as the last.
One time, during the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns, a couple of kids began acting up. The Army S/Sgt. conducting the change ceremony politely, but firmly, advised the parents to either control the kids or depart the premises. His tone of voice made it clear the point was not negotiable. I'm sure it was not the first time he was faced with that situation.
