I've got a Du-Al loader mounted on my Ford 8n, and the cylinder that controls the tilt on the bucket needs new seals. I've been trying to find somewhere that would have a seal kit and possibly a couple of other parts.
The issue is that the bucket has no down pressure, so when I set the bucket on the ground to try and push material, the edge of the bucket just rides up the pile. Same sort of issue when I tilt it vertical and try to use the bucket edge to level/drag sand or dirt. The bucket will just roll over as I move forward or backward.
I pulled the cylinder off and opened it up, figuring that it needed new seals. It was full of sloppy, chunky mess with some hydraulic oil in the mix. :) After cleaning everything up, I took some photos of everything, so now I'm looking for a little guidance on where to get parts.
For reference, the loader is a DU-AL model 4504 series 100 loader. I took measurements of the cylinder diameter, but don't have them handy right now. I'll add them when I get a chance.
Lastly, if I can figure it out, I'll try and put up some images, too.
Thanks,
Chops

Today's Featured Article - Box Plow Blues - by Tom Schwarz. One of the first implements most tractor owners obtain is the box plow. As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
