I never tried the tordon but 2,4-D has little effect on horsenettle on my farm. I use Grazon 1 quart to the acre. The county agent told me that the only way to get rid of it permanently was to cut it short at 30 day intervals when it was blooming and spray it in the early fall at it's last growth. It's a perennial with a deep root system.
