Clicking solenoid means you have enough power to make the solenoid talk to you but not enough to spin it over. Poor connections some place or you new battery is no good or needs to be charged or even a new bad solenoid. Jump across the two big terminals on the solenoid and if it spins over the solenoid is bad if it does not then one of the other things I said
