We used windmills at all of our pastures. I still remember coming home one day from school and the bill had come from having the head rebuilt on one. No fan or tail repair- just gearbox stuff. The total was $600. This was probably 35 years ago. I would like to put one here at the home place in the bull pen, but I so vividly remember that bill and the stir it caused. It's lots easier to turn on the hydrant once a day.
