Depends what you are looking to do. If you like history, then the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library in Springfield is awesome. If you like Farm history, there is the Harris Agricultural Museum in Atwood. The Mueller Museum in Decatur is also interesting. In Decatur, you have ADM, Tate and Lyle, and Caterpillar. Not sure if any of those do tours. Decatur has a nice lake and with that they have beach front and fun activities. Mini golf and related type things. They also have excellent golf courses. You can drive over to Monticello and visit Robert Allerton Park - worth the trip and they also have an excellent live railroad museum.
