It runs ipv6 smoother than win8 or win7... so that is a plus.. it interface is fixed so you can use the menu the old win 7 way or use it the win 8 way or both. Its a new operating system so its not all bloated up like win7 with over 300 security patches, so its still small and fast.

Is it a bit different? yes the picture view and other free programs changed a bit, but it runs all my old apps just fine.

You can take it or leave it...

Because more web pages are moving to ip version6 I believe in the long run it will faster. Due to ip version 4 tunneling and other problems as some point ip v 6 will be much faster, but not necessarily today as most web sites are just now starting the conversion. Some web sites ran very slow on ip v 6 on windows 7, and a little slow on windows 8.

Yes some folks will bit$h about change, so its your choice. I have 4 out of 6 pc's running win10. On pc is too old, and on pc is waiting for amd to come out with a compatible video card driver, (which may be never.)

My wife has not noticed the change as desktop looks the same and all of icons are still where they used to be. So to her, its been a seamless conversion.

Today's Featured Article - Restoring a John Deere 2010 Diesel Tractor - by Jim Nielsen. Following seven years working in California's Silicon Valley, my wife, baby son and I moved back to Australia to retire. We bought a small 'farm' of about 50 acres near Bendigo, in the state of Victoria. I soon found that it would be very useful to have a tractor around the place for things such as grading our long drive and brush-hogging the fields. I was also embarking on planting 1000 eucalyptus trees, and hence I would need a ripper, small disk plow, sprayer etc. to get these things accompli ... [Read Article]
