I got a friend that keeps asking me to take his old Ford 600 off his hands. I've restored a 960 a couple years back and think that this 600 may be a neat project ( I always like the old Fords). It needs to be broke in half and a new clutch is required is what I'm hearing....It has one new rear tire and one old. I think it's 12V updated and other than that is looks original. Single stage clutch and I think 4 speeds (maybe that is standard). What is a fair price for something needing work yet has some hope for the future? He is a friend so he may not expect top dollar but at the same time I don't want someone else to tell him that I ripped him off.
Any thoughts? I have not priced old steel lately. I think a working older Ford is in the $3K-4K range so is a NEEDS WORK tractor worth $ 1K or less? Any other thoughs on price? thanks in advance, MODAY
