Went to go look at that other Farmall M today...
Has a nice DuAll 250 loader on it, with a 3 spool valve, and remotes at the bucket. Wide Front, tight steering, nice machine all in all.
The Bad,
No sheet metal, Left Brake issues, Clutch is tight, Engine is stuck ( I think ) Front bolster is wasted, Frame rails are bad ish wfe needs tie rods and rims to be serviceable.
The Good,
has 15.5 x 38 rear tires, at probably %75 tread. Has a LIVE Mag Drive hydro pump for the loader, and a different Mag attached to it. Has an "EZ" ride Monre seat, minus the shock. 2 sets of rear wheel weights. Unbroken rear wheels Nearly all of the throttle linkage, and that kind of stuff is TIGHT.
And quite possibily the biggest plus of all, it has an X1 at the end of the serial number... Which, if it is the same as the H, means that it has the higher compression head / engine right?
Very excited about it! No pictures yet, but I hope to get it home soon...

What’s even more amazing is that all the principals of hydraulic theory can be wrapped up in such a small package. This same package applies to any hydraulic system from the largest bulldozer to the oldest and smallest tractor. This short series will take a look at the basic layout of a simple hydraul
