Hi guys, I just got done combining our corn in central Mn. All I can say is wow. I am proud to say that with out a shadow of a doubt that all of my old equipment has never seen well over 200 bushel per acre corn. From the planter to the combine. I even picked a couple corn cribs with my New Idea picker because I ran out of corn storage. Man that was fun picking 30 inch rows with a 38 inch picker at a plant population of 36,000. Slow but it worked. I only had my dad and his group of old timer friends to get it all done. They are all old farmers and enjoy the work. What a great fall. I just have to attempt to plow. That is not going to be fun with 12 foot high stalks. Thanks for answering all my questions over the years. I started with absolutely nothing and with your help and my family's help, we are a small and growing farm. God bless all of you.

As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
