In Eastern Europe and Russia, until today there are hundreds of thounds of Belarus tractors working. Of course, they are not as comfortable and fancy as John Deere, MF, Fendt and others. And yes, they may have more often broken parts... BUT they are made to be repaired in the field by non-experts.
In Europe, parts for Belarus tractors are almost everywhere available. Prices for spare parts are as low as you can think- because they produce so many of them.
Some examples for a Belarus MTZ 50:
New (not rebuild) injection pump: 350 $
Piston and sleeve kit: 200 $
New front rim: 50 $
New hydraulic valve block: 180 $
New hydraulic pump: 40 $
New complete hydraulic assisted front steering bolster unit: 350 $
Many, many other parts are available as NOS parts.
