One of them is a 288 "Lite", and it's cylinder had a compression release, the other 288XP doesn't have the spot for it?
I asked the guys in there at the shop, and they said that the 288XP "Lites" always did, and the 288XP "Pro" saws never did?! The "Lite" is a 1988, and the XP is a 1994...
Both are awesome saws.... The one in the picture with me a little lower is the XP, total rebuild, $400 into it is all.... :)
