I use a Dell Venue 8 pro. I bought it so I wasn't tied to the PC. I can use it anywhere in the house. Keep in mind that you will have to buy a wireless modem so you can use the internet with the tablet. I also have a gadget (Netgear) that I can use my TV for a large monitor. You'll need a flat screen TV for this though.This comes in handy if I want to watch youtube videos on a larger screen. I also have a Netflix account so I can watch movies on the TV screen. The camera works pretty good too. I can take pictures, edit them, then post then on any forum page. I use Google image editing program for editing pictures. It's called Picasa. I did buy a keyboard to use with the tablet, but found it is unhandy using it sitting in my favorite chair. So I use the onscreen keyboard. Holding the tablet in one hand and typing with the other takes some getting used to.
