I have a 1968 Ford 3000 gas. It runs absolutely perfect all summer long pulling a large finishing mower and other odd jobs. Ever since I’ve had it, when I go plowing in the fall it always acts up. One round it will work fantastic with tons of power. The next time around it runs like crap. It starts to break up, no power, and even back fires “LOUD” once in a while. Then the next round it runs absolutely great again. It doesn’t seem to be fuel. I’ve pulled the chock and it doesn’t make any difference. So far I’ve changed all fuel filters, the petcock and even pulled the fuel tank and cleaned it out. I’ve installed a new carburetor I bought from Yesterdays tractors, a new fuel pump, new battery, and tuned it up, twice, Plugs, points, and condenser. Checked the timing, and advance mechanism. It all seems good. Nothing seemed to affect the problem. Thinking it could be the spark advance hanging up once in a while, or maybe the voltage regulator, the lights do pulsate as it kicks in and out. But I’ve had others that do that. It does charge ok. It's an in intermittent problem that can't be reproduced on demand. I’m running out of ideas and things to change. Any other advice or suggestions would greatly appreciate. Thanks JR
