I would love to spend the day on a social trip to the dealer with great results. I don't expect the instant service they give to the BTOs and the guys who farm for a living. I will get out of their way at the store so as to not hold them up.
Nor do I expect the dealer to stock every part for my near-antique-but-all-paid-for equipment. I know many will be brought in from a sister store (good to have 15 others to draw from) or the hub. If I can save myself a trip and some time by ordering online and getting the process started, I'll give it a shot. I don't think i have ordered the wrong thing yet
At 50, I am not quite a nose-to-the-phone type, and I know I would NEVER accept the kind of service you have referenced- the parts guy and his owner would get my opinion for sure.
