Back when I was a kid, I went to work for a guy for a week, supposedly for $70 a week. SOB had me out in his pasture with a scythe and shovel cutting bull and musk thistle off and digging the roots out. At the end of the week, I asked him for my paycheck, and he claimed that I had earned $17.50- the pay scale was $70 A MONTH!!! I didn't go back on Monday......
