I assemble my own desktops, but I've ordered and helped order many Dells through the years, they aren't terrible. I'd suggest going to Slickdeals.net and search for what you're looking for (desktop, laptop). Lots of deals the next few days. Pay with a credit card, many/most double the warranty up to a year for free on most items. Dell Outlet -sometimes- has deals with a coupon, same as new warranty. Also free antivirus is good enough if you know what you're doing, but a few name brand pay versions are free after rebate. Decent printer deals upcoming too, etc.
