I recently bought a Ford 2000 tractor that is in need of a steering box rebuild as well as a few other misc. items but I am having a real issue trying to figure out the year and so on ~ I have scanned and scraped and copied every number from the entire machine and scoured every forum that I could find but nothing seems to match up so I'm hoping someone here can help ~
The numbers located on the flywheel housing behind the starter read as follows

A144-897
I've got the trans numbers, rear end numbers, motor numbers, and the numbers posted above and I just can't seem to figure it out. Any help?
