Been thinking about getting one just because of the idiots out there.
Couple of years ago near here a cop pulled a kid over at 2AM leaving an APT building that mostly houses college kids. When he found out that the kid hadn't been drinking he went off on the kid and ranted almost 1/2 hour before he let the kid go. Mistake on his part. Kids dad is a big time lawyer in the Twin Cities. Dad made an appointment with the chief and they reviewed the cops dash cam which has sound from a mic the officer was wearing. First place the kid did nothing illegal that would give the cop cause to pull him over. Then the ranting. Officer in question was placed on probation and had to attend refresher training and anger management classes out of his own pocket to keep his job. A decent lawyer will demand to review the cops dash cam concerning any alleged wrongdoing of a client. You don't see it in the news but a lot of DUI arrests are being tossed because there was no probable cause to stop the driver in thee first place. And this is because of the cop's dash cam.
