The advise of JRSutton is what worked for me.
Had a neighbor that knows what he is doing come over the first time I harnessed up our team, some help to go over sizing and getting everything adjusted and fitting right is a huge help.
Thinking back the first time by myself it probably took me 1 1/2 - 2 hours before I had them hooked to the wagon.
Now it takes me 10 - 15 minutes, and I am by no means an expert.
Keep your collars and harness separate for each horse to avoid confusion next time.
Working out an order to follow prevents me from forgetting things and making stupid mistakes.
Lots of images on google to help you with proper terminology and placement.
Be careful and have fun.
