After researching and looking at many types of "horse outer wear" I spent a pretty good chunk of money (about $300) getting a blanket for my old mare. Its a Weatherbeeta, 1600 denier, "waterproof". Well, its not water proof.
I've had the blanket for a couple of years, but never used it much until last year. A couple of weeks ago I used a full can of scotch guard on it. I had never been around to check after a rain until this morning. It rained off and on all night. This morning I went out to check and it was soaked and so was she. I am not happy.
Can anyone recommend a water proofer that really works?
