I've got a 1965 Ford 4500 Industrial tractor that I have rebuilt all the lifting rams to lift my gannon and still it's real slow lifting. Can my gear driven pump mounted to the left side near the rear of the engine, can a gear be stripped and going out or is there a filter in the rear-end I don't know about that can be clogged, causing it to lift very, very slow?
Would like any information anyone would have to help me fix the problem. I know that the tractor is 50 years old and if it is a gear is, or should I say, can I find a comparable gear driven oil pump to replace the one I feel is an original?
