This may sound weird, but I'll try to explain.
My 1956 80 has a bad seal on the internal side of the PTO shaft. I have the tractor split to fix some differential problems, and I have access to the rear of the PTO at the same time, including the PTO oil pump, so I was going to replace the seal. After taking the pump off, I can feel play in the shaft itself, meaning a worn bearing.
Does anyone know, or have tried to take the back of the PTO assembly off, and get the clutch drum off along with the clutch drum quill, so I can replace that bearing?
My best guess is that I can just pull it right out!
