Local regulations do not exist. Septic and well matter but otherwise there are no building codes electrical codes or anything else as long as it is my own house. If I was doing it for hire it would be an entirely different matter but as long the given situation I can do whatever I want. I figure whatever I get wil need footings. I may make up some height there or I might just have 7'5" ceilings. Me and the wife are not real tall so I would have plenty of head clearance. If I build this I intend on staying there till I die so resale not a big issue for me.
