Guy brought a 350 gm in for rebuild. pulled engine intake off the entire valley underneath was filled with Wax. He said the only engine oil he used was quaker state. I never used that oil again. Had a guy bring a freight shaker with a detroit in it said he broke the dipstick off and wanted a new one. The only way to do it was to change the oil and mark a new dipstick. Pulled the plug on oil pan nothing came out. stuck a screwdriver in it nothing came out except some sludge. asked driver when the oil was last changed he didn't know he had been driving it for a year. Told owner would have to pull pan and clean it. He said not just put the plug in it and send it down the road.
