Sounds like the kid is way, way to coddled.
At nine years old we were all balls to the walls, go for broke.
We got hurt some, but not seriously.
Maybe he just needs a dose of wildness. Dont want him growing up to be one of those college age pansies who need designated safe spaces so they dont see or hear anything that offends em.
