Can't answer specific to Case, but the jumpy pedal is an indication something is not quite right with the pressure plate. Typically one of the release arms is standing taller than the others due to irregular wear in the release mechanism. Or it could be a problem with the release bearing.
One thing you could do is try giving the pedal a little more freeplay adjustment so the release bearing is not touching the pressure plate. If the pedal is "gravity riding" the release bearing, add a spring to hold it up. That will prolong the life of the bearing.
If there is grinding or squealing when the pedal is depressed, there is a serious problem with the release bearing. It will soon be new clutch time.
