Mine is a D7007 and has a bad 2nd gear, goes clunk, clunk every revolution. But, I have three ranges, so I just pick the range and gear I need, I don't use 2nd in any range.
The air cooled motors just need the fins clean, there is a plate on the right side of the engine when viewed from the seat, open that up and remove the mouse debris and blow it out. Make sure the oil cooler in there has clear air passages. Make sure the belt is in good condition for the Alternator and fan. That's it. Great running tractors.
