wiring diagram of SM for lights?

Where can I go to see a wiring diagram of a SM that is 12v positive with a generator . I'm trying to put on new lights. The ammeter and light switch does not work so I need to replace them also. I look at so mean different ones that I'm getting turn around. The ones that I see are with a alternator and are 12v positive to ground. My is not positive to ground. And how do I know if the light switch is 3 or 4 position so I know which one to order?
