I guess it depends what part of the country you are mowing in. I don't mow by the hour. Everyone wants to know how much it is going to cost up front. Some even want a price over the phone. That ain't going to happen. I usually make out way better by giving a price up front. You should be charging around 90.00, and up for your 8 ft mower. Take, insurance, license to mow in each town. If you need a license. break downs from hitting something in that field that is said to be clean. Fuel for the tractor, and your truck. Then when you are done you can give uncle sam 35 %. When people ask me what I charge if they want a price, I tell them, 110.00 an hour. with my 7 1/2 flail mower and my JD 401 Industrial. Stan
