A friend had been having a lube shop do his service on an '02 Dodge Cummins and was experiencing poor performance and mileage ........ I asked him to check the air filter ..... he said it was fine and the lube shop had recently given it a clean bill of health. I went over to his place to see for myself ..... the side that you see when you access the air box was fine BUT the other side looked like it had been 'chipped and sealed' by the county road crew. He hadn't checked the intake side of the filter and neither had the lube monkeys ...... a new filter was installed and that brought back the smile to his face. 8)
