I see that '02 should work, I see some people losing a "small" amount of data, others not. I am hoping you had a backup?? Good idea at a minimum to have a usb drive, and do the backup to that, at least one copy off computer, minimum. I also see that older versions of Quicken were kind of "stupid" and had multiple data files needed in order to restore, instead of just one like newer versions.

If you have backups, you could look through those. I don't know if '02 had this feature to hunt for files to restore. https://qlc.intuit.com/questions/148656-where-can-i-find-quicken-back-up-files-after-system-recovery

Otherwise, search for qdf files on your computer. Here are instructions I copied "Select Search box next to Windows logo.

In the Search box, type the name of your item (qdf).

After you enter a search term, select My stuff to find results for files, apps, settings, photos, videos, and music across your PC and OneDrive." Now, THAT should find your files. But, I highly suggest you get someone there a bit familiar with this sort of thing, with sensitive stuff like this, I don't like to do it "remotely". Not much of a way for me to determine from here if you are backed up well enough, or which copy of what's there is the right one, because the dates could be off, it could restore older, etc., etc. Searching is safe, you can see if any dates look recent, you could try restoring a recent one, IF you are sure it looks right. Should have the date and time there. If you don't see anything that looks right, there is a possibility that things got lost....

This forced upgrade to 10 is a little annoying, isn't it?

Today's Featured Article - Uncle Cecil's Super A Lives Again - by Mike Purcell. A week or so out of most of my childhood summers was often spent with my Uncle Cecil and Aunt Sissie in the small East Texas town of Maydelle on their 80 acre farm. Some of my fondest memories of these visits are those of learning to drive a tractor at the helm of Uncle Cecil’s 1948 Farmall Super A. Uncle Cecil was the second owner of this wonderful little tractor, but it was almost as though he had adopted an infant. The original owner was a man from Minnesota who bought her from a local dea ... [Read Article]
